Outsider Computers was established in 1997 By Niel Freeman. Two shops were opened. One situated in Durban North & the other in The Village Market, Westville. In 2003, the Westville branch was purchased by Mike Steytler. In the beginning of 2004, I Nathan Loots was employed on a contract basis by Mr. Steytler to service all of his callout clients. In 2005, due to a car accident, Mr. Steytler then put the management of the company in my hands. In the beginning of 2006 I then purchased the business from Mr. Steytler. February of 2007, due to renovations on The Village Market, we were given notice to vacate the premises. The business has since been run from my home in New Germany.
